Agility Lead- Associate

As an Agility Lead in Consumer and Community Banking, you will play a significant role as a champion for the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile practices within our teams. Leveraging your deep knowledge of product development methodologies and Agile principles, use your expert guidance, mentorship, and support to teams to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. As a recognized subject matter expert, put your knowledge to use to work on complex issues, exercise considerable judgment, and make impactful decisions that shape the operational and business direction of your sub-function. Your leadership, communication, and coaching skills will be instrumental in empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently and effectively, while continuously adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a team of ALs to partner with their Product Teams while owning 1 Scrum team
- Partner with PALs and Performance Leads to create a community of practice sharing and truth telling that drives consistency across the portfolio. Co-creation of playbooks to be leveraged locally with their teams as well as more broadly across the Portfolio
- Identify ways to turn Individual Contributor strengths into Line of Business competencies
- Keep aligned to continuous improvement roadmap as well as help to define the quarterly planning
- Team Delivery Backlog: Ensure the team always has enough high priority work that is refined and ready to work on over the next 2-3 sprints (avoid team building un-defined/under defined work leading to rework
- Dependency Management Board: Track and manage team level dependencies for current and upcoming sprints so team can focus on delivery
- Additional Artifacts include Quarterly Planning Prep content, quarterly team objectives, JIRA board, risk tracking/management and more
- Sustain tools and standards though team (data hygiene follow-up, ensure right processes are in place, controls support, ect.)
- Team Sprint Demo Materials: Prepare end of sprint demo materials for team to review wit product leaders. Measure and Enable Agility outcomes (Metrics set by CCB). Develop plans for learning, uplift, and delivery practices training. Act as trainers for Scrum and Kanban for all quad participants
- Team Improvement Backlog: Capture and drive tangible team improvement actions to promote speed, efficiency, and collaboration every sprint
- Increase Productivity and efficiency for the team by utilizing LLMs, streamlining workflow, removing obstacles, and improving practices. Enhance Team collaboration and communication by facilitating retrospective activities, team planning, and review with leaders
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management
- 3+ years agile coaching experience
- Possess advanced knowledge of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices, enabling effective guidance and support for teams
- Display advanced knowledge of agile delivery and multiple agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), and scaling frameworks, monitoring agility metrics; with the ability to guide teams through complex projects, emphasizing iterative progress and adaptability
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels within the organization, effectively guiding group discussions and decision-making processes within the domain context
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training on Agile coaching, such as recognized coaching certifications (Kanban, Scrum Master,etc.)
- Technical/development experience (java/o.o.p. coding, scripting, infrastructure development)
- Recommended skills include but are not limited to: agile delivery, business acumen, change management, continuous improvement, coaching, internal stakeholder management, strategic thinking, self-study, verbal communication, adaptability, and decision making
