Dev Ops Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms, and working closely with development teams in an Agile environment to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker (and Kubernetes, if applicable)
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain infrastructure across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth code integration and release management
• Manage version control workflows using Git (branching strategies, code reviews, merge processes)
• Administer and optimize databases (SQL/NoSQL) to ensure performance, security, and availability
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and quick incident response
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure security best practices are followed across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps tools, processes, and automation strategies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
• Proficiency with Docker and containerization concepts; Kubernetes experience is a plus
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure); multi-cloud experience preferred
• Experience managing and optimizing databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control workflows
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Good understanding of networking, security, and system administration fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team

Good to Have

• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
• Exposure to serverless architecture
• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet)
