Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly payroll cycle by collecting, checking and validating payroll inputs, including employee changes, absence data, deductions and other payroll adjustments.
- Assist with pre-payroll checks, payroll reconciliations, payroll report validation and issue escalation.
- Support payroll processing activities, including gross-to-net checks, correction files, manual updates and payroll adjustments.
- Ensure bank account funding is in place with Finance Teams and salary/tax payments deposited.
- Validate payslip outputs and support payslip-related employee queries.
- Work with internal Payroll, Benefits, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers.
- Maintain payroll documentation, records and evidence to support audit, governance and compliance requirements.
- Support process documentation and knowledge article updates for benefit-related payroll processes, including employee guidance where benefits are administered through payroll or third-party platforms.
- Maintain benefit administration records, supporting documentation and evidence required for audit, governance and statutory reporting.
- Assist with employee queries relating to benefit deductions, taxable allowances, reimbursements and benefit-related payslip items and escalating complex cases where required.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ payroll experience.
- Experience in payroll administration, HR operations, finance operations or a similar administrative role.
- India payroll knowledge required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with payroll and employee data.
- Good Excel, numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise time-sensitive work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with Workday or another payroll/HR system would be beneficial.
