Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Demand Architect to bridge business demand with enterprise technology architecture. In this role, you will evaluate incoming demand for technical feasibility, define scalable solution approaches, and provide architectural direction that aligns with the organization’s ServiceNow platform strategy. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are technically sound, reusable, and aligned with long-term platform objectives
The ideal candidate combines strong ServiceNow platform expertise with enterprise architecture knowledge, enabling informed technical decisions, governance, and strategic planning across the demand lifecycle
What will your role look like?

Review Business Analyst (BA) analysis to assess technical feasibility before effort estimation.
Define solution options and recommend the optimal approach by evaluating build vs. configure vs. integrate vs. buy scenarios.
Identify cross-functional dependencies, architectural impacts, and integration requirements early in the demand lifecycle.
Represent the technical solution during architecture and platform governance reviews, presenting recommendations and technical rationale.
Challenge business demands that duplicate existing capabilities or conflict with the ServiceNow platform strategy and enterprise architecture.
Maintain visibility of the overall ServiceNow solution landscape, including existing capabilities, planned initiatives, and retiring solutions.
Produce high-quality solution design briefs for large, strategic, and complex initiatives.
Translate business requirements into clear technical direction for development teams, ensuring smooth transition from analysis to implementation.
Provide architectural guidance and support to developers throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Coach Business Analysts on ServiceNow capabilities, platform limitations, and technical concepts to improve requirement quality.
Contribute to demand assessment methodologies, including complexity tiering and solution governance frameworks.
Partner with Portfolio Managers by providing insights into technical debt, architectural risks, platform health, and modernization opportunities.
Develop and maintain reusable architecture patterns, reference solutions, design standards, and governance documentation.
Ensure all proposed solutions align with ServiceNow best practices, security standards, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

We would like you to bring along

10+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in ServiceNow architecture, solution design, or enterprise architecture.
Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including architecture, governance, integrations, and best practices.
Experience evaluating business demand and translating functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Expertise in solution architecture, application integration, and enterprise design principles.
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow implementation methodologies and platform governance.
Experience creating architecture documents, solution design briefs, technical roadmaps, and decision records.
Ability to identify technical risks, dependencies, architectural impacts, and optimization opportunities.
Experience collaborating with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Development teams, Enterprise Architects, and senior business stakeholders.
Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe delivery environments.

Good-to-have skills

Experience across multiple ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, CSM, HRSD, FSM, IRM/GRC, or App Engine.
Knowledge of CSDM, CMDB, Data Foundation, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and enterprise integration patterns.
Exposure to Now Assist and AI-driven capabilities within the ServiceNow platform.
Experience defining enterprise architecture standards, reusable solution patterns, and governance frameworks.
Knowledge of cloud architecture, microservices, APIs, event-driven integrations, and enterprise integration platforms.
Experience contributing to platform modernization initiatives, technical debt reduction, and strategic technology roadmaps.
