A senior Oracle professional with 10 years of experience is expected to lead complex database operations, optimize performance and availability, implement high-availability solutions, mentor teams, and ensure data security across Oracle environments on AWS and ON-PREM
Job Description : Adhering to SLAs.\\\\r\\\\nMentoring / Training Team Members.\\\\r\\\\nHandling tickets / requests.\\\\r\\\\nPerform root cause analysis.\\\\r\\\\nTroubleshooting technical issues.\\\\r\\\\nDefining processes [SOP/MOP\\\\\\\'s] and ensuring that the processes are adhered to.\\\\r\\\\nOversees and is responsible for successful completion of database tasks.\\\\r\\\\nResponsible for maintaining customer database standards.\\\\r\\\\nResponsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario.\\\\r\\\\nImproves and maintains customer satisfaction.\\\\r\\\\nSuggests Database environment Gaps, Improvements, and new technologies.\\\\r\\\\nMonitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members.\\\\r\\\\nIdentify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating.\\\\r\\\\nTo independently resolve tickets and ensure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.\\\\r\\\\nTo provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident, change, and problem management.\\\\r\\\\nTo adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies to ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nTechnical Requirements: -\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nPosition: Database L3 Support: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in an IT operations / large-scale services environment A minimum of 8 years’ Production DBA experience in an enterprise level environment.\\\\r\\\\nExpertise in Oracle database installation and administration.\\\\r\\\\nExperience in AWS and EC2 instance types.\\\\r\\\\nHands-on experience in Oracle RAC, dataguard and patching.\\\\r\\\\nAbility to validate quarterly patches and work with Oracle vendor on bug fixes and one-off patches.\\\\r\\\\nExperience in installing, administering, and working of Oracle 12c through 19c databases.\\\\r\\\\nExperience in configuring and managing Oracle RAC, Grid infrastructure, Oracle ASM, OEM\\\\r\\\\nHands-on experience in data refresh and migration using datapump.\\\\r\\\\nHands on experience in database upgrade procedures.\\\\r\\\\nExperience with RMAN database backup and recovery\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge on User management, profiles and auditing.\\\\r\\\\nCreate/manage Oracle SR and support team in issue resolution.\\\\r\\\\nHands on experience in Performance Tuning, AWR, ASH, ADDM, Explain Plan etc\\\\r\\\\nExperience in OEM monitoring.\\\\r\\\\nAbility to iteract and understand customer requirements for performance tuning.\\\\r\\\\nTroubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability. \\\\r\\\\nCreate and maintain Oracle databases required for development, testing, Integration, QA and production usage.\\\\r\\\\nPerforms the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases. \\\\r\\\\nThe DBA should work closely with Server, Backup and storage administrator to meet Backup, Hardware, Storage and Operating system requirements.\\\\r\\\\nThe DBA should work closely customer to understand the requirements and standards. \\\\r\\\\nPerform ongoing analysis and tuning of the Oracle database. \\\\r\\\\nExperience in MySQL and PostgreSQL would be advantage ~
Key Responsibilities
Database Architecture & Management: Design, implement, and maintain complex Oracle databases ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and optimal performance on AWS and On-Prem Configure and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard for high availability, and Automatic Storage Management (ASM) Performance Tuning & Optimization: Analyze SQL and PL/SQL performance using tools like AWR, ASH, SQL Plan Management, and implement indexing and partitioning strategies to optimize query execution and reduce latency Backup, Recovery & Disaster Planning: Develop and manage database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, data replication tools (GoldenGate, Shareplex), and conduct regular failover or switchover drills Security & Compliance: Implement database security protocols including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), access control, and audit workflows, ensuring patching/compliance with industry standards and minimizing vulnerabilities Upgrade, Migration & Automation: Lead database migration projects, including upgrades to Oracle 12c, 19, AWS RDS. Automate routine tasks, patching, deployments, and cloud migration tasks to improve efficiency Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead a team of DBAs and developers, mentor junior staff, and provide best practices guidance on database design, coding, and operational tasks Collaboration: Work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, data accessibility, and support for enterprise applications like Oracle E-Business Suite
