Generally, the team is form in Squad where each squad consist of Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Dev lead, Developers and Testers. This Squad structure provides more connectivity among team members and allows us to deliver faster as all resources work as one group on dedicated tasks.
About the Role
Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
As a Senior SRE, you will own the reliability, observability, and operational excellence of the Foundry data platform. You will ensure that platform services — including data pipelines, Lakehouse infrastructure, APIs, and shared capabilities — are scalable, resilient, and consistently measurable.
You will define reliability standards, implement automated monitoring and recovery patterns, and operate a clear incident model that enables both Foundry and brand teams to deliver trusted, production-grade data products at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable container-based platforms using Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on standardized deployment patterns and reusable environments.
- Define and operate GitHub-based delivery workflows, including repository structures, branching strategies, and GitOps-driven deployment models to enable consistent, repeatable releases.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and orchestration frameworks that automate build, test, deploy, and rollback processes across platform services, using GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling.
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise system performance and reliability, with a focus on automated alerting, observability, and operational visibility across environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, and security teams to define best practices for CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and container orchestration, ensuring consistency and reducing fragmentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across deployment pipelines, container orchestration, networking, and runtime environments, with emphasis on root cause analysis and systemic fixes.
- Implement and maintain automated deployment, scaling, and recovery mechanisms, ensuring services are resilient and can recover predictably through orchestration rather than manual intervention.
Requirements
- Software Engineering experience in SRE/Devops with e xpertise in Linux and Data Platforms/Lakehouses
- Advanced knowledge on Kubernetes and Networking - Understanding of Kubernetes networking, integration with existing network environment
- Basic/Intermediate knowledge on GitHub, Git, Agile
- CI/CD (essential: deep understanding of theory and concepts , bonus: experience with GitHub and pipelines )
- Infrastructure as Code (essential: Terraform or CloudFormation fundamentals , bonus: Serverless Framework ), on AWS or Azure
- Containerization (essential: Docker , bonus: experience with ECS/Fargate )
- Scripting (essential: Bash/Python )
- Bonus not essential : Snowflake or Databricks
