We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer – Java with GCP to join our team and contribute to the development of enterprise applications supporting business-critical operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in Java-based development and cloud technologies, combined with the analytical mindset needed to drive complex projects to successful completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop KYC application to support DWS business
- Collaborate with development teams and architects to design and implement technology solutions with a high level of quality flexibility and scalability
- Build new functionality to support internal and external business requirements
- Present enhancements and features to business groups and incorporate their feedback into the development backlog
- Conduct system integration testing to ensure application reliability
- Maintain standard project artifacts to comply with development protocols
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and prevent recurrence
- Partner with front and middle office teams to achieve objectives and execute project plans as required
- Ask pertinent questions to identify issues and drive analysis forward
- Adapt quickly to new product and technical knowledge as well as complex processes
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in enterprise application development using modern stack technologies
- Proficiency in Java Spring Boot and React
- Skills in REST APIs Hibernate and SQL
- Expertise in GCP components including GKE-MT Service Registry API Gateway Apigee and Cloud Storage
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and frameworks such as Jenkins and Maven
- Familiarity with application logs monitoring using Splunk
- Experience creating and merging branches and maintaining releases in Bitbucket as a version control repository
- Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies along with associated tools mainly JIRA and Confluence
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English written and verbal
- Ability to work hours overlapping with US and Europe timezones
