Senior Territory Manager - Sales

- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to deeply understand their farm mechanization needs and challenges.
- Showcasing the superiority of Mahindra tractors combined with our comprehensive implement product range through live demonstrations, proof of concept presentations, and deployment of demo models on farms.
- Identifying new revenue streams by exploring additional opportunities aligned with farmers' requirements and evolving agricultural technologies.
- Implementing and facilitating upskilling initiatives for laborers and tractor drivers to ensure proficient and safe usage of farm mechanization equipment, thereby optimizing application and fostering adoption.
- Employing a bundled solution selling approach to present integrated offerings that provide comprehensive value to farmers, positioning Mahindra as the preferred partner for their mechanization needs.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and service to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and delivery of exceptional customer service.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to provide insightful feedback and implement proactive measures to maintain market leadership.
- Meeting defined sales targets and operational metrics while maintaining adherence to company policies and ethical business practices.
- A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications or diplomas in farm machinery management, sales, or agribusiness management will be advantageous.
- Continuous professional development through workshops, certifications, or courses related to farm mechanization, sales strategies, or rural market dynamics is highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural practices and farm mechanization technologies to effectively communicate product benefits and technical specifications.
- Strong proficiency in using digital tools for reporting, sales management, and customer relationship management systems.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales roles, preferably within the agriculture or farm machinery sector, demonstrating consistent achievement of sales targets and customer satisfaction.
- Proven track record in managing territory sales operations, client relationship management, and lead generation, specifically tailored to farming communities and agricultural stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for diverse audiences including farmers and laborers.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, customer feedback, and sales performance metrics leading to actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to drive bundled solution sales.
- Experience with digital sales tools, CRM platforms, and data reporting to maintain accurate sales pipelines and enhance territory management.
- Deep understanding of farm mechanization equipment, their applications across various crop cycles, and benefits in enhancing farm productivity.
- Expertise in enquiry generation strategies and conversion techniques within the farm sector, especially with farmers managing large land holdings.
- Proven capability in delivering effective training and capacity-building programs for farm laborers and tractor drivers to optimize equipment usage and safety.
- Experience in consultative and solution-based sales, emphasizing bundled offerings that integrate tractors with compatible implements to provide superior value.
- Strong competency in managing key accounts and nurturing long-term partnerships with stakeholders in the agricultural supply chain.
- Proven skills in negotiating and closing complex deals while balancing customer needs and organizational goals.
- Ability to effectively showcase product demonstrations, including managing live proof of concept models in field conditions.
- Demonstrated strategic foresight to anticipate market needs, adapt to changing agricultural practices, and leverage emerging business opportunities within the farm mechanization landscape.
