Job Description – MSC Support L2 Engineer (Java + AWS + Microservices)
Role Summary:
The engineer will be part of a global 24/7 Production Support team responsible for critical Media Supply Chain (MSC) applications across on-prem and AWS environments. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with Java microservices, AWS services, databases, and the ability to support high-volume content operations.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2 Production Application Support for Media Supply Chain applications, REST API-based microservices, and AWS-hosted services.
Investigate and resolve production application & content workflow issues with clear RCA documentation.
Perform proactive monitoring of logs, workflows, queues, integrations, and AWS resources.
Work in rotational shift operations with required onsite overlap; flexibility during weekends if needed.
Collaborate with global engineering, platform, and content operations teams across time zones.
Support production releases, validation, deployment checks, and post-release monitoring.
Troubleshoot issues across Java/Spring Boot microservices, API failures, AWS components, and databases.
Maintain documentation including SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and operational checklists.
Participate in operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skill Requirements
Java & Microservices:
Strong experience with Core Java , Java 8+ , Spring Boot , microservices, and REST APIs.
Ability to debug microservices, review logs, and analyze code-level issues.
AWS Cloud:Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as:
EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM
Ability to monitor AWS resources, validate integrations, and support deployments.
Databases & Tools:
Strong SQL skills (advanced SELECT/JOIN).
Experience with Oracle , MongoDB , or similar NoSQL databases.
Exposure to CloudWatch Logs, Kibana, Splunk, or equivalent monitoring tools.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience with media workflows or media supply chain platforms (preferred).
Knowledge of Python, Node.js, or React.js (optional but beneficial).
Experience with ServiceNow , Jira or other Incident Management tool
Other Requirements
Experience Required:
3 to 8 years of experience in Java development or Application Production Support .
Experience supporting distributed microservices applications.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
