Reporting To Director – Projects Location Head Office (with frequent travel across PAN India) Job Type Full-Time, Permanent Travel Requirement High – Must be willing to travel extensively to project locations and government offices across India
Job Purpose
Description To lead marketing and liaison activities related to hydro, irrigation, and infrastructure projects across Maharashtra and India. This includes government liaison, opportunity detection, tender participation, competitor tracking, and building lasting relationships with the Department and related bodies. Independent handling of private multinational requirement in the above field.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Area Description Business Development – Identify upcoming projects in the hydro, irrigation, water resources, and infrastructuresectors and inform to management.
– Build a pipeline of leads through networks, consultants, and government departments. Marketing & Promotion – Prepare technical presentations, capability statements, and company profiles topitch to government departments.
– Represent the company in expos, conferences, and departmental meetings. Government Liaison – Regularly visit and communicate with officials from the Irrigation Department, Water Resources Dept (WRD), PWDs.
– Ensure company registration and pre-qualification with departments. Tender Monitoring & Input – Track tenders via portals and physical sources.
– Collect tender documents, attend pre-bid meetings, and support with bid preparation and submission.
– Ensure compliance with eligibility and documentation requirements. Opportunity Intelligence – Monitor budgets, project sanctions, government funding patterns, and infrastructure planning.
– Report insights on competitors, pricing trends, and upcoming projects to management. Coordination with Teams – Coordinate with internal estimation, project, and execution teams for technical inputs and documentation.
– Support in departmental follow-ups during project execution stages.
Key Skills Required
Skill Area Details Government Liaison Strong relationships and understanding of the working of the Irrigation Department and other infrastructure bodies Marketing Communication Ability to prepare and present technical proposals, profiles, and business pitches Tendering Knowledge Familiarity with government tendering portals, bid preparation, documentation, and compliance Interpersonal Skills Excellent networking, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities Analytical Abilities Detecting business opportunities, interpreting government plans/budgets, and competitive strategy insights Regional Understanding Knowledge of irrigation and hydro project landscapes in multiple Indian states especially Maharashtra.
Technical Technical knowledge of project execution, scope of work knowledge and

Qualification & Experience
Criteria Details Education B.E./B.Tech/ M.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
MBA in Marketing/Infrastructure Management preferred Experience Minimum 10–15 years in marketing, business development, or liaisoning roles in infrastructure projects of Government. Industry Background Experience in Irrigation Projects, Hydro Projects, or Government Infrastructure Tenders
