Role
As a Career Counsellor, you will conduct career awareness workshops, administer assessments and provide personalised career guidance to students across Punjab. This is a contractual, field-based role focused on helping students explore education, skill development, and career pathways after Class 10.
Responsibilities
- Conduct career awareness workshops for students.
- Administer career assessments to identify students' strengths and interests.
- Guide students on academic, vocational, and career pathways after Class 10.
- Provide personalised career counselling based on students' aspirations.
- Support career helpline operations by responding to student queries.
- Maintain accurate student records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Travel to schools and programme locations as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 1 to 3 years of experience in career counselling, teaching or related roles.
- Strong counselling and group facilitation skills.
- Prior teaching or classroom management experience.
- Teacher training experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Punjabi.
- Knowledge of career development theories and labour market trends is preferred.
- Certification in career counselling is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
