Software Development Engineer 3 - Java

Relevant Experience - 6+ Years

Location - Bangalore

Programming & Databases

  • Experience with Core Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Oracle Database
  • Understanding of database modeling and implementation best practices

Frameworks & Technologies

  • Spring MVC (Model-View-Controller) and Spring Boot
  • Apache Kafka
  • Distributed caching tools such as Redis or Couchbase

Testing & Quality

  • Experience with JUnit, Groovy, and Postman
  • Ability to conduct unit, integration, and performance testing

Deployment & Cloud

  • Deployment using Apache Tomcat, JBoss, and Kubernetes Pods
  • Experience with any cloud platform (Microsoft Azure preferred)

Build & Automation

  • Gradle, Maven, and Jenkins
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) models

Soft Skills

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving tools and practices
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to support team needs during project phases, with advance notice for any extended hours
  • Commitment to following the team’s agreed onsite or hybrid working model
  • Openness to knowledge sharing and cross-team engagement

Common Accountabilities

  • Apply relevant technical and functional expertise while learning about Amadeus business needs
  • Contribute ideas for improving processes, tools, and solutions
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with the manager and team
  • Follow established guidelines and support decision-making with data and analysis
  • Engage constructively with peers and stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes

Specific Accountabilities

Analyse and clarify user requirements for new or enhanced software solutions

Design technical solutions, perform feasibility studies, and propose validated approaches

Develop high-quality software following Amadeus coding standards

Conduct testing, participate in validation cycles, and help debug and enhance existing solutions in partnership with product teams

Create and maintain clear and accurate technical documentation
