Job Purpose

The focus area for the role will be drafting and reviewing the real estate documents, customer documents, service agreements and handling other real estate assignments including RERA/customer/ other litigations.

The scope of work is mentioned in detail in the tabulation below:

  • Real Estate Transactions & Documentation
  • Draft and review transaction documents including Term Sheets, Agreements to Sell, Sale Deeds, Development Agreements, Powers of Attorney and other ancillary documents.
  • Assist in conducting title due diligence and identifying legal risks.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to facilitate timely closure of transactions.
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Manage litigation across various judicial/quasi-judicial forums.
  • Draft and review pleadings, legal notices, replies, written submissions, affidavits and briefing notes.
  • Coordinate with external advocates /counsels, monitor case progress and ensure timely filings.
  • Attend court hearings, conferences with counsel, wherever required.
  • Maintain litigation trackers and provide periodic updates to management.
  • Contract Management
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and vendor agreements.
  • Develop and maintain standard templates, legal precedents and drafting guidelines to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Knowledge Management & Process Excellence
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations and judicial precedents impacting the real estate sector.
  • Prepare legal updates and knowledge notes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal legal processes, approval matrices and documentation standards.
  • Reporting & Coordination
  • Prepare periodic legal MIS relating to transactions, litigation, compliances and key legal risks.
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, external consultants and government authorities, wherever required.

Desired Candidate Profile

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • Strong understanding of fundamental principles of Indian law.
  • Sound knowledge of real estate laws, including title due diligence, property documentation and land transactions.
  • Exposure to both transactional work and litigation/dispute resolution.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical and research skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail and professional ethics.
  • Candidates with experience in a real estate developer, reputed law firm or in-house legal team handling real estate matters will be preferred.
