About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Admin (Architect level with strong Mongo DB experience with 8+ years DBA experience with MongoDB.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in MongoDB Admin, Architecture, Replica Sets, HA/DR, Sharding, Internals, Aggregation, Backup/Restore
- Proficient in performance tuning, query optimization, and security (AuthN/AuthZ, encryption, auditing)
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Kubernetes/OpenShift (Helm, StatefulSets, persistent storage)
- Data modeling (normalized & denormalized)
- Microservices, APIs, and database automation workflows
- Automation: Ansible, GitOps, PowerShell, Python, Shell
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk
- Linux admin and DB infrastructure management
- Familiar with SIEM, compliance, governance and ZeroOps
- Architect, implement, and manage enterprise MongoDB (Replica Sets, Sharded Clusters, Atlas)
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant deployments across on-prem, cloud, hybrid, Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Troubleshoot performance, replication, and availability issues; perform RCA
- Lead upgrades, migrations, scaling, and schema optimization
- Design data models aligned to business/POS needs
- Integrate MongoDB with microservices, APIs, event-driven and automation workflows
- Perform workload analysis, indexing, and infra tuning
- Monitor DB health, lag, and resources using monitoring tools
- Implement/test backup, recovery, and DR strategies
- Enforce security (RBAC, encryption, auditing, compliance)
- Automate operations (deployment, monitoring, health checks)
- Collaborate with app/cloud/infra teams
- Integrate monitoring/audit logs with observability & SIEM
- Support incident management and post-incident RCA
- Mentor L1/L2 teams; provide leadership
- Maintain SOPs, documentation, and standards
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance adherence
- MongoDB Atlas admin & automation
- Kubernetes/OpenShift-based MongoDB deployments
- Azure/AWS/GCP experience
- Other NoSQL (Cassandra, Redis, Couchbase)
- Terraform & CI/CD pipelines
- ServiceNow change management
- SIEM integration
- Compliance/audit frameworks experience
- ZeroOps exposure
- MongoDB Certified (Associate/Professional)
- CKA/OpenShift Certification
- Azure Database Admin / AWS Database Specialty
