Position Overview
As a Senior Software Developer at Purplle.com, you will be key in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software solutions. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers and collaborate on projects that leverage your expertise in Golang, Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka and Google Cloud Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Golang, Node.js
- Create and optimise database schemas and queries using MySQL and MongoDB.
- Implement caching solutions with Redis.
- Integrate and work with event streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement complex product solutions.
- Take ownership of projects from inception to deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy applications on GCP, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals.
- Solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development practices.
- 4-6 years of software development experience, preferably in a product-based company.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/IT Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in either Golang or Node.js
- Strong knowledge of MySQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, and data structures.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
- Ability to work on complex, end-to-end software projects.
- A team player with the ability to also work independently
- Proven ability to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality software.
- Plus points if you have worked on product based company with the preferred domain of e-commerce
