Job Title: Assistant Manager-SCM

- Education: B. Tech (Mechanical)
- Work Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in similar industry
- Purchase Order Coordination
- Receive purchase requirements from GDC (Netherlands).
- Coordinate with the internal Purchasing team for timely Purchase Order (PO) creation and release.
- Ensure all purchase requirements are processed within agreed timelines.
- Monitor PO status from release until material delivery.
- Supplier Coordination
- Act as the primary operational interface with Indian suppliers.
- Obtain Order Confirmations (OC) from suppliers.
- Verify committed delivery dates and communicate deviations immediately.
- Follow up regularly with suppliers to ensure adherence to commitments.
- Escalate risks proactively to minimize delivery delays.
- Global Coordination
- Coordinate daily with the Global Spare Parts Centre (Netherlands).
- Share Order Confirmations and delivery commitments.
- Provide regular updates on order progress, supplier status, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain clear communication regarding shortages, delays, and recovery plans.
- Internal Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Operational Purchasing
- Strategic Sourcing
- Planning
- Warehouse
- Quality
- Ensure all stakeholders have accurate information regarding order status.
- Coordinate resolution of issues affecting supply continuity.
- Delivery Monitoring
- Track supplier deliveries against committed dates.
- Ensure material reaches the plant as per schedule.
- Coordinate with Warehouse for receipt and packaging activities where required.
- Support urgent and critical deliveries through continuous follow-up.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain delivery trackers and PO status reports.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on:
- Open Purchase Orders
- Supplier commitments
- Delayed deliveries
- Critical shortages
- Maintain proper documentation of supplier communications and confirmations
