Network Engineer

- Handle L2 network incidents, service requests, and escalations within SLA
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Internet, VPN, and Data Center connectivity issues
- Perform basic configuration and change implementation under approved CRs
- Monitor network health and respond to alerts using monitoring tools
- Coordinate with L3 engineers, ISPs, and OEM vendors for complex issues
- Support 24×7 operations, including shift and on call responsibilities
- Maintain network documentation, incident notes, and RCA inputs
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, VLANs, subnetting
- Hands on experience with routing & switching (L2/L3 concepts)
- Exposure to enterprise devices such as Cisco / HPE Aruba / Juniper
- Basic firewall and VPN knowledge (rules, NAT, IPSec/SSL VPN)
- Network monitoring using tools like PRTG / Zabbix / SolarWinds / Nagios
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows networking commands
- 3–6 years of experience in enterprise network support (L2 role)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT or equivalent
- CCNA / equivalent networking certification preferred
- 24×7 support operations
- Shift based / on call support
- Coordination with internal teams and external vendors
