Job Description
- Lead the end-to-end new product development (NPD) process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative automation and robotics solutions
- Establish and implement NPD strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of new products to meet industry standards
- Identify and mitigate potential risks during the product development lifecycle
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure products remain competitive
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on project progress and outcomes
A Successful NPD Head Should Have
- A degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field
- Proven expertise in new product development within the Automation-Robotics industry
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation systems
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving shared goals
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Understanding of market trends and customer requirements in the industrial sector
