Summary/Objective:
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional who can support accounting, assist in various statutory compliance activities (GST, TDS etc.), finalization of accounts, prepare monthly MIS reports and other ancillary activities in accounting function. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth into senior finance and accounting roles. Candidates with a strong academic background in Accounting and Taxation, along with hands-on experience in month-end/year-end closing activities, will be preferred.

Essential Functional:
Responsibilities:
- Accounting Operations & Transaction Processing
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities including raising sales invoices, recording purchase transactions (raw materials, expenses, capital expenditure), receipts, payments, journal entries, and other accounting transactions as required.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, reconciliations, reports, and documentation relating to accounting records.
- GST Compliance & Reconciliations
- Assist in computation and timely filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, ITC-04, Annual Returns, and other applicable GST compliances.
- Perform GST reconciliations including Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation with GSTR-2B, sales reconciliation between books and GSTR-1, and preparation of GST annual return workings.
- Maintain GST-related records, supporting documents, and compliance trackers.
- TDS / TCS Compliance & Monitoring
- Compute TDS/TCS liabilities, ensure timely deposit of taxes, and prepare/file applicable TDS/TCS returns including 24Q, 26Q, and other applicable statements.
- Perform reconciliation of TDS records with Form 26AS and monitor outstanding issues/defaults, if any, on the TRACES portal.
- Maintain necessary documentation and records for TDS/TCS compliance.
- Tax, Regulatory & Statutory Support
- Assist in other direct and indirect tax compliances, statutory submissions, and regulatory requirements including ROC-related matters, wherever applicable.
- Support internal teams and external consultants with required information and documentation.
- Fixed Assets & Accounting Records
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register, update asset records, and assist in depreciation calculations as per applicable accounting requirements.
- Financial Closing Support
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities by preparing schedules and workings relating to provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation, reconciliations, inventory consumption, CWIP review, customer/vendor balances, and other closing adjustments.
- Assist in preparation of financial and management reports.
- Audit & Assessment Support
- Provide necessary data, schedules, workings, and supporting documentation during audits, assessments, inspections, and other statutory reviews.
- Other Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain accounting ledgers and relevant master data in coordination with reporting managers and as per organizational requirements.
- Maintain records relating to exports/imports and EXIM transactions including FOB/CIF values, customs duty details, import costs, incentive records, utilization details, and related documentation, wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper maintenance, organization, and timely retrieval of accounting, tax, and statutory records in both electronic and physical formats.
- Follow established processes and support process improvements as required.
The incumbent shall have authority:
- To access relevant information, seek clarifications, and request additional documentation required for the effective discharge of assigned responsibilities.
- To obtain necessary details and support from members of the accounting team for the completion of assigned tasks.
- To coordinate with and request relevant information from employees of other departments, as necessary for carrying out accounting, compliance, and reporting responsibilities. The incumbent may refer to Corporate Accounting Procedures and internal policies to understand the rights and responsibilities vested in the accounting function.
- To utilize assigned company resources, including laptops/computers, software applications, and other tools necessary for the performance of duties.
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, while performing assigned duties, the incumbent is authorized to seek cooperation from relevant stakeholders and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and statutory compliance requirements.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, desktop computers, printers, photocopiers, and smartphones. This is an on-site role based in Vadodara, India. Company has manufacturing facility at Por GIDC and role requires travel to the said location as well (company provides transport facility from Vadodara).
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively and interact with internal and external stakeholders. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This role may occasionally require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Education: Inter CA/CMA/CS or Postgraduate in Commerce or Business Administration.
- Experience & Skill:
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or similar business environment.
- Good understanding of accounting fundamentals, bookkeeping practices, and applicable direct and indirect tax compliances (including GST and TDS/TCS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis, and preparation of reports.
- Working knowledge of ERP/accounting software and ability to maintain accounting records and generate reports from systems.
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy and completeness of records. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, documentation discipline, and ability to manage timelines.
- Good communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams, consultants, and auditors.
