Experience
* 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, or with a production leadership role.
* Experience in precision engineering, electrical equipment, instrumentation, transformer accessories, or similar manufacturing industries.
* Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
* MBA in Operations or Manufacturing Management is preferred.

Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for the execution of the production plan issued by the Production Planning & Control (PPC) department. The role is accountable for achieving daily production targets, ensuring timely completion of manufacturing orders, and delivering products that meet quality, safety, and delivery standards.
The Production Manager serves as the central execution point between PPC, Purchase, Stores, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Sales to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Production Execution
* Execute the daily, weekly, and monthly production plans released by the PPC department.
* Convert the production plan into daily production targets for each assembly line, production cell, and work center.
* Allocate manpower, machines, tools, and other resources to achieve daily production targets.
* Monitor hourly and daily production performance and take immediate corrective actions to eliminate delays and bottlenecks.
* Ensure all production orders are completed within the planned schedule while meeting quality and productivity standards.
* Conduct daily production review meetings with Production Engineers and Supervisors.
Cross-Functional Coordination
* Follow up with the Purchase department to ensure timely availability of raw materials, bought-out components, and consumables.
* Coordinate with Stores & Inventory for timely material issuance, inventory transfers, and uninterrupted production.
* Coordinate with Quality Control for in-process inspections, final inspections, and timely product approvals.
* Liaise with the Maintenance department to minimize machine downtime and maximize equipment availability.
* Provide accurate production status updates and realistic manufacturing lead times to the Sales team.
Operational Excellence
* Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, work instructions, BOMs, routings, and quality standards.
* Monitor production efficiency, labour productivity, machine utilization, rework, scrap, and downtime.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, company policies, and all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Team Leadership
* Lead, coach, and develop Production Engineers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Operators.
* Establish accountability for achieving daily production targets.
* Promote a culture of discipline, teamwork, ownership, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Identify training needs and support employee skill development.
