Occupational Therapist

This is a rewarding role offering a varied caseload across acute hospital in-reach, rural hospital support and community services. You will play a key role in supporting individuals to maximise independence, improve functional ability and ensure safe, timely discharge.
The post will primarily involve occupational therapy in-reach into Caithness General Hospital, working across acute admissions and rehabilitation wards, alongside providing support to rural hospitals and community settings across Caithness. The role focuses on early assessment, discharge planning and rehabilitation, helping to prevent unnecessary admissions and reduce delays.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, nurses, social care staff, GPs and other professionals, delivering coordinated, person-centred care.
This post is based in Caithness, the primary base is negotiable depending on location of successful applicant; travel will be required to acute & rural hospitals and community settings.
Hours are typically worked Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
A full driving licence is essential, and access to a vehicle for work purposes may be required.
