Role

Private Equity Fund Administration (PEFA) provides third-party clients with comprehensive administration, financial accounting, and investor reporting services for their funds.

Evaluates and reconciles complex funds including mutual, commingled, and collective for production of client month-end reports or for daily valuation. Verifies complex transactions, audits income reports within scheduled timeframes and resolves exceptions on a daily basis for fund accounts

Core Competencies And Skills Required

  • Understanding of day to day operational activities of fund of fund investments & private equity.
  • Liaison effectively with team members, internal groups and external counterparties
  • Demonstrate through examples /evidence analytical ability, problem solving, day-to-day task management and escalation of issues
  • Good Accounting and financial reporting knowledge is must
  • Self-starter with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under extremely time sensitive conditions.

Major Duties And Key Responsibilities

  • To have a thorough understanding of the theoretical and technical nature of fund accounting and administration especially on Private equity
  • Performing quality assurance checks on information received internally from other supporting functions
  • Carry out relatively complex, extensive, high profile transactions surrounding all PE Fund activity e.g. capital calls, distributions, investment purchases, divestments, carried interest calculations etc
  • Ensuring deliverables are adhered to as per agreed SLAs.
  • Working closely with home locations to resolve queries
  • To create, maintain and update procedures for allocated funds
  • Ensuring to comply with all controls and procedures outlined in the procedures manual and general company policies
  • Preparation and signing off on NAV files to reviewer
  • Working closely with the Team Leader and Section Managers for on-boarding new transitions from home locations
  • Ensuring scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines and checklists are duly signed.
  • To identify efficiencies and area’s for improvement to reduce risk and become more efficient
  • Ensuring that technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient manner
  • To ensure full and proper reporting to the manager of any operational issues
  • Where delays are expected flag any service delivery issues as early as possible
  • Lead/participate in implementing new technology and efficiency initiatives/projects as needed.

Education And Qualifications

Fresher CMA, CPA’s or relevant 2+ years of PE/FR experience with master Degree

Eligibility for Internal partners

Should have completed 1 year as Analyst II
