This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 5–6 years of experience in compensation, finance, accounting, or operations who enjoy working in a detail-oriented, high-accountability environment. The role requires strong analytical capability, comfort working with sensitive compensation information, and the ability to navigate complex workflows and approval processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain compensation-related data for Traders and Senior Portfolio Managers with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Review, validate, and capture compensation metrics, relative terms, and supporting data within Appian.
- Ensure strong data quality, completeness, and consistency across compensation records and approval workflows.
- Analyze compensation-related information, including legal terms and conditions, in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Apply compensation, finance, and accounting knowledge to support accurate interpretation and processing of compensation data.
- Coordinate items through multi-level approval workflows, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Partner with the Product / Technology team to identify system gaps and help define enhancements where current tools do not fully capture required information.
- Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, efficiency, and scalability within compensation operations.
- Collaborate with Compensation, Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, and business stakeholders as needed.
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in Compensation, Compensation Operations, Finance Operations, Accounting, HR Operations, or a related function.
- Strong understanding of compensation processes, metrics, and data management.
- Solid knowledge of finance and/or accounting fundamentals.
- Ability to review and interpret terms and conditions related to compensation or contractual arrangements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and process control.
- Experience working with workflow or process management tools such as Appian or similar systems is preferred.
- Advanced Excel / spreadsheet skills and comfort working with structured data.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting compensation processes for front-office populations, including Traders or Portfolio Managers.
- Exposure to incentive compensation, variable pay, or deferred compensation processes.
- Experience contributing to system enhancement, business requirement gathering, or process redesign initiatives.
- Background in asset management, investment management, banking, or financial services is a plus.
