Spclst, Supply Chain Mgmt
Carrier
Key Responsibilities
- AI agent development — Design, build, and deploy AI agents across the procurement value chain, including:
- Category spend analytics agents: data cleansing, classification, trend and savings analysis, automated reporting
- Commodity intelligence & blocking/hedging recommendation agents: live market price feeds (e.g., LME/COMEX), forecast synthesis, policy threshold and compliance checks, executive-ready recommendations
- Category and competitive market intelligence agents: tracking competitor activity, supplier risk, and category trends across multiple categories
- RFQ/RFP automation agents: bid floating, response collection, should-cost and bid comparison, negotiation prep
- Process mapping & workflow redesign — Map current-state procurement processes (source-to-pay, category management, RFQ/RFP, supplier onboarding), identify automation opportunities, and redesign workflows for AI-augmented execution — including decision logic, triggers, and exception handling.
- Domain-to-agent translation — Translate category and commodity manager domain rules (e.g., hedging policy thresholds, exclusion criteria, category taxonomies) into agent logic, working hands-on with LLM platforms and automation tooling.
- Data & systems integration — Integrate agents with ERP, spend, and market data sources; build and maintain the underlying data pipelines that power agent decisioning.
- Stakeholder management — Partner with category teams, plants, finance, and IT to pilot, deploy, and scale agents into production; train end users and drive adoption.
- Governance & reporting — Track and report agent performance, savings impact, and adoption metrics; present use cases and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5- 6 years of experience spanning procurement/supply chain, with hands-on exposure to AI, automation, or analytics — or a data science/automation background with strong appetite to learn procurement domain (exact experience band flexed by seniority hired).
- Hands-on experience building with LLM/GenAI platforms (e.g., Claude, Copilot Studio, ChatGPT) and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI).
- Working proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and agent/workflow logic.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes — source-to-pay, category management, RFQ/RFP — and, ideally, commodity/hedging management.
- Comfort working directly with prompt engineering and agentic AI frameworks, not just consuming AI tools.
- Experience in HVAC, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
- Exposure to ERP/source-to-pay platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and BI tools (Power BI).
- Track record of presenting AI/automation use cases to senior or executive stakeholders.
- A mandate to build category-defining AI capability inside a large, global procurement organisation — from zero to production, not a sandbox pilot.
- Direct exposure to senior procurement and supply chain leadership and cross-functional category teams.
- A fast-moving CoE environment with real budget, real spend, and real agents already in deployment.
