Sportsplex Facilities Manager
This position involves performing routine and preventative maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure the Sportsplex remains safe, clean, and operational. Key responsibilities include inspecting facilities for safety hazards, completing minor repairs, coordinating specialized repairs, setting up and tearing down for events, maintaining maintenance records, responding quickly to requests, monitoring supplies, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting daily operations and event preparation.
Supervision: This position is supervised by the Parks & Recreation Director.
Work Hours: The standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility needed to support various facility activities. Evening, weekend, holiday, and emergency work may be required to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Pulaski County Sportsplex.
Salary Rate: $50,500 to $65,000 and is commensurate upon education and experience.
Education & Experience: A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor’s degree, technical, or trade certification is preferred. Previous experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field is also preferred.

This position oversees the safe and efficient operation of the facility during assigned shifts. Responsibilities include managing daily activities such as programs, leagues, tournaments, rentals, memberships, and special events to ensure high-quality customer service and operational excellence. The supervisor conducts routine inspections to maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment, coordinates facility readiness for openings, closings, and event turnovers, and serves as the primary contact for customer concerns and conflict resolution. They respond to emergencies, incidents, and facility issues, implementing emergency procedures and documenting occurrences. The role involves supervising on-duty staff, contractors, officials, instructors, and volunteers during evenings, weekends, and special events, and collaborating with team members to ensure successful operations. Supervision: This position serves as the supervisor on duty at the Pulaski County Sportsplex and is supervised by the Assistant Parks & Recreation Director.
Work Hours: Primarily evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods, with flexible scheduling based on event needs.
Hourly Rate: $18 to $25 and is commensurate upon education and experience.
Education & Experience: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with an associate’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least two (2) years of relevant experience in recreation, sports facilities, events, hospitality, or customer service, including supervisory or lead experience, is required. This position oversees the overall administration, coordination, and daily operations of the Pulaski County Sportsplex membership platform, guest services, and front desk staff. The role ensures an exceptional customer experience through effective supervision, accurate membership management, financial accountability, and compliance with operational policies. Responsibilities include supervising guest services, membership administration, event support staff, and coordinating work assignments, training, and performance monitoring. The Events & Membership Manager serves as the expert on membership enrollment, account management, auditing, reporting, and policy adherence, providing leadership to the Member & Guest Services team. Additionally, the position supports Parks & Recreation and STEA events by assisting with logistics, facility readiness, staffing, vendor communication, and customer service. The role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Supervision: Supervises front-of-house personnel and reports to the Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation, with administrative oversight from the Director.
