Role Description The Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ranchi. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving health insurance sales, managing and growing a network of agents and partners, and achieving assigned sales and revenue targets. Daily activities include prospecting and onboarding new customers, conducting product presentations, supporting intermediaries with training and guidance, and ensuring high-quality service and policy issuance. The role involves tracking performance metrics, analyzing local market opportunities, and implementing sales strategies aligned with ABHICL’s wellness-focused offerings. The Sales Manager will collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues, adhere to regulatory and company compliance standards, and contribute to building a strong brand presence in the Ranchi region.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closure of health insurance products.
- Experience in team handling or channel management, with the ability to motivate and support agents, partners, and other intermediaries.
- Customer relationship management skills, with a focus on consultative selling, retaining clients, and delivering service with professionalism and empathy.
- Analytical and planning skills to interpret sales data, identify market opportunities, and execute effective local sales strategies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex insurance and wellness concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of health insurance or financial services is highly beneficial; prior experience in insurance sales or BFSI sector is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience in sales will be considered.
- Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems for reporting, customer follow-up, and policy management.
- Ability to work on-site in Ranchi, travel locally as required, and meet targets within defined timelines while adhering to regulatory and company policies.
