Job Purpose Description

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Supporting Actions

  • Business Excellence
  • Ensuring reliability and continuous availability of All Electrical HT/LT Switch gear, HT /LT Motor, EOT’s & Hoists, UPS, DCDB, ACDB, Battery Charger including Illumination System through planning and execution of shutdown, preventive, predictive maintenance schedules in collaboration with the AHP, DM Plant & CPP operations teams as well as execution of breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Installing and commissioning of CAPEX projects related to Electrical system of BOP.
  • Cost
  • Partnering planning and budgeting with respect to all technical upgradation and regular maintenance for the next financial year and implementing the same.
  • Reducing rework.
  • Achieving cost saving without compromising delivery by driving continuous process improvement across area of operation
  • Cash
  • Giving input for cost projections for working capital and cash flow management for the next financial year with respect to area of operations
  • Preventing any interruption due to lack of maintenance of Motors, Switch gears and impacting profitability.
  • Optimizing working capital by reducing the cost of maintenance by developing internal resources for testing and calibration, maintaining optimum spares inventory and eliminating breakdown
  • Customer
  • Ensuring e xecution of breakdown maintenance activities w ith minimum downtime
  • Giving input to the commercial team in vendor management on requirement and performance evaluation with respect to vendors
  • Sharing data within and across functions
  • Minimizing response time in providing information and solutions to all internal and external customers
  • Sustainability & Compliance
  • Optimizing power consumption and embedding sustainable practices towards e nergy saving
  • Ensuring availability of all testing kits as well as Calibration of measuring Equipment
  • Ensuring all Business Excellence practices related to WCM
  • Ensuring compliance of Integrated Management system and Energy Management System.
  • Ensuring good housekeeping practices.
  • Partnering in green initiatives.
  • Safety
  • Implementing Safety standards and developing safety mechanisms to achieve zero reported incident
  • Implementing of Health, Safety, Environment norms in area of operation:
  • Implementation of safety standards such as LOTOTO, MSDS, 5S
  • OHSAS compliance
  • fire safety mechanism
  • HAZOP study
  • Risk assessment
  • HIRA.
  • Compliance of observation of safety task forces to eliminate unsafe behavior.
  • Imparting safety related training to team including contractual workmen and participating in roadshow, communication sessions, cross functional initiatives to build awareness about electrical safety standard implementation.
  • Always ensuring emergency handling readiness and handling emergencies.
  • People development and engagement
  • Monitoring and improving performance of team members
  • Ensuring competency building through training need identification, training initiatives to enhance technical and behavioral competencies of team and promote multiskilling
  • Monitoring intake and deployment of appropriately trained contractual workforce and ensuring their continuous training and wellbeing as per company guidelines.
