Responsibilities
- Own keyword research, ad copy, bidding strategy, and budget allocation.
- Track and optimise for cost-per-lead, conversion rate, and lead quality, not just clicks.
- Set up and maintain conversion tracking (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics).
- A/B test landing pages, ad creatives, and targeting to continuously improve ROI.
- Report on campaign performance with clear, actionable insights for leadership.
- Stay current with Google Ads policy changes, auction dynamics, and platform updates.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience running Google Ads campaigns, ideally for lead generation (not just branding/e-commerce).
- Prior experience running PPC/lead generation campaigns for IT, software, or tech-industry companies is a must.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking setup.
- Comfort reading campaign data and translating it into budget/targeting decisions.
- Basic understanding of landing page conversion principles.
- Google Ads certification is a plus, not mandatory.
- Clear communication- verbal and written.
- Within the first 30 days, you've audited and restructured existing campaigns (or set up from scratch), with clean conversion tracking in place.
- You're consistently delivering a steady volume of qualified leads (min. 30 per month for first 3 months), at a cost-per-lead that improves over time.
- Cost-per-lead trends downward quarter over quarter, without sacrificing lead quality.
- Landing pages and ad creatives are being tested continuously, not set-and-forget.
- You're proactively flagging opportunities (new keywords, audience segments, channels) rather than waiting to be asked to do so.
- You can walk leadership through why a campaign is performing a certain way, not just report numbers, but explain the story behind them.
- Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) per month.
- Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) per month.
- MQL-to-SQL conversion rate.
- Cost-per-qualified-lead (CPL), trending down quarter over quarter.
- Campaign ROI / cost-per-acquisition where trackable through to closed deals.
