About the Team and the Role:
The Production team at Ather is responsible for leading and aligning shift members to achieve key performance indicators under the SQCDM pillars, ensuring seamless battery manufacturing operations.
This role is for a Production Manager - Battery who will align 3M resources to meet daily operational goals, plan on-the-job training for associate multiskilling, and maintain a performance-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direction to the respective department in terms of 3C's (Culture, Capability & Capacity)
- Align the teams to achieve targets in terms of SQCDM as per the organizational goals
- Safety: build a culture of safety, striving for zero first aid incidents/accidents
- Quality: identify tasks and programs to improve operational quality
- Costs: identify initiatives and steer team to reduce costs and rejections
- Delivery: ensure the operations team is aligned with functions work to delivering the targets as per the org goals set
- Morale: build a culture of growth and inclusiveness by keeping a tab on the pulse of the function as well as pursuing initiatives that help the same
- Represent function in various SwLs & meetings, ensuring stories are being worked on
- Ensure that the various processes required to run the function are in place
- Plan resources based on organizational goals & requirements
- Set & establish the culture of the function
- Ensure all assets & processes introduced through APDS should meet all requirements of the function
- Own the various audits with respect to the function
- Review change content with SIC
- Ensure the grounds for professional conduct within the department
- B.tech in any stream
- 8-14 years of relevant experience
- Execute expert-level people management to lead and align the entire production team during shifts.
- Utilize advanced presentation and communication skills to share relevant information and updates with stakeholders.
- Apply advanced lean manufacturing and productivity improvement techniques to optimize workstation operations.
- Leverage advanced quality improvement tools and problem-solving methodologies like A3 and PDCA to achieve quality targets.
- Apply basic knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (ISO 14001/45001/9001) and Industry 4.0 digital manufacturing concepts.
- Utilize SAP and JIRA for operational tracking and management of technical stories.
- Demonstrate familiarity with assembly and production concepts to support various workstations.
- Use G-Suites effectively for managing data, reports, and team communications.
