We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Sales to lead and drive our international telesales function from Chennai. This role is responsible for delivering sales growth by leading a high-performing sales team focused on acquiring new business across international markets.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and results-oriented sales leader with extensive experience in inside sales, telesales, or B2B sales. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, coaching and developing the team, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring consistent achievement of business objectives while maintaining a customer-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive new customer acquisition across international markets.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze key business metrics, and implement action plans to improve productivity and conversions.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and sales training to enhance individual and team capability.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and customer success.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to maximise sales opportunities and improve the customer journey.
- Review sales pipelines, forecasts, and business performance, providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and overall sales effectiveness.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of sales professionals to build a strong and capable sales organisation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, sales processes, CRM standards, and quality expectations.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex customer or operational matters requiring management support.
- Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, with significant experience in inside sales or telesales leadership.
- Proven experience leading sales teams and consistently delivering revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of sales management, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Experience managing international sales markets such as the UK, USA, Australia, or New Zealand is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience using CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven, and customer-focused environment.
