Position Summary
Ganapati Vanaspati Limited is seeking a proactive and qualified OSHE Officer to lead Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance initiatives across its manufacturing operations. The role involves workplace safety management, risk assessment, incident investigation, safety training, environmental monitoring, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including IEE, EIA, Environmental Audit (EA), waste management, and pollution control programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor environmental compliance initiatives in line with applicable laws, regulations, permits, and company standards.
- Support and coordinate IEE, EIA, Environmental Audit (EA), environmental monitoring, permit renewals, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Oversee environmental management programs related to waste management, effluent treatment, emissions control, pollution prevention, resource conservation, and sustainability.
- Conduct environmental inspections, assessments, compliance audits, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain environmental documentation, records, statutory reports, and liaison with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
- Promote environmental awareness, sustainability practices, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Investigate environmental, safety, and health incidents and support implementation of corrective measures.
- Facilitate OSHE training, safety inductions, emergency preparedness programs, and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of Occupational Safety, Health & Environment (OSHE) management systems and compliance performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant OSHE/EHS/HSE experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Strong reporting, communication, and analytical skills.
