Consultant / Senior Consultant – Procurement

Role Description

We are looking for Consultants and Senior Consultants to join our growing Procurement practice in Mumbai.

Working alongside experienced procurement leaders, you will support consulting engagements, strategic sourcing programmes and procurement managed services for leading organisations across India, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of procurement and supply chain challenges while developing expertise in sourcing, category management, supplier management and procurement transformation.

What you will do

• Support procurement consulting engagements across strategic sourcing, category management and procurement transformation
• Execute sourcing activities including RFx development, supplier identification, bid evaluation, commercial analysis and negotiation support
• Support supplier onboarding, contract enablement, supplier performance management and procurement operations
• Analyse procurement data to identify cost reduction opportunities and prepare client-ready reports and presentations
• Build dashboards, KPI reports and procurement analytics to support client decision-making
• Apply procurement methodologies, playbooks and digital tools to improve delivery quality and efficiency
• Work closely with client stakeholders and global Argon & Co teams to deliver successful outcomes
• Contribute to proposals, internal capability development and knowledge sharing where required
• Take ownership of workstreams while continuously developing your procurement and consulting skills

Qualifications

Essential

• 4–8 years of experience in procurement consulting, procurement advisory, strategic sourcing, category management or procurement managed services
• Demonstrated experience across sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiations
• Experience working with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, GEP, Jaggaer, Oracle Procurement or SAP MM
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy or other industrial sectors
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau
• CIPS or equivalent certification

• Some flexibility to overlap with global client time zones when required
