Job Description – DB2 Administrator (L2 / L3)

Experience - 6–10 Years

Location : Chennai / Hyderabad
Must have skills - DB2 Udb, IBM DPF and Q-REP

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled DB2 Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize DB2 database environments across development, testing, and production systems. The role involves database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and ensuring high availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain DB2 databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security .
• Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 database environments
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement tuning strategies
• Create and manage DB2 objects (tables, indexes, schemas) based on application requirements
• Support development, QA, and production deployments
• Perform capacity planning and database maintenance activities
• Work with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database issues
• Implement and manage database security, user roles, and access controls
• Provide support for incidents, problem management, and change management processes
• Participate in 24x7 support/on-call rotation (for L3 roles)

Mandatory Skills: DB2 UDB Admin .
