BIM Engineer II – (Structural)

Location: Nagpur – Full Time (On-Site)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Engineer II – Structural with 2–4 years of experience in Structural BIM modeling for US-based wood/timber projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing structural BIM models using Revit, working on timber construction systems, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality BIM models and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural BIM models for wood/timber projects using Autodesk Revit.
  • Prepare structural framing plans, sections, elevations, details, and construction documentation for US projects.
  • Model light wood framing, mass timber (CLT/GLT), and panelized construction systems.
  • Utilize timber modeling add-ins such as AGACAD Wood Framing or equivalent.
  • Coordinate with Structural, Architectural, and MEP disciplines to resolve design and BIM coordination issues.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and other BIM tools.
  • Ensure models comply with US building codes, client standards, and project BIM requirements.
  • Generate accurate shop drawings and construction documentation.
  • Maintain model quality, BIM standards, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support BIM Coordinators in project execution, model reviews, and coordination meetings.
  • Mentor junior BIM Engineers when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Structural BIM Modeling.
  • Experience working on US-based wood/timber projects is mandatory.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural).
  • Experience with AGACAD Wood Framing or similar timber modeling add-ins.
  • Good understanding of US structural detailing standards and construction practices.
  • Knowledge of light wood framing, mass timber, and timber structural systems.
  • Proficiency in Navisworks for BIM coordination and clash detection.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good To Have)

  • Experience with AutoCAD and other BIM software.
  • Exposure to Dynamo or parametric modeling.
  • Knowledge of prefabrication and modular construction workflows.
  • Familiarity with LOD standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and CDE workflows.
