Executive - Production (Drug Product)

Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for carrying out filling and packing operations in accordance with approved Batch Filling Records (BFR), Batch Packing Records (BPR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The role ensures adherence to production schedules, maintenance of manufacturing records with data integrity compliance, verification of raw and packing materials, coordination of QC sampling, and transfer of finished goods to Stores. The position is also responsible for maintaining equipment, utilities, cleanliness, environmental conditions, and consumable stocks within production areas. Additionally, the incumbent coordinates with cross-functional departments, performs SAP transactions, supports material planning and dispatch activities, ensures compliance with safety requirements, and is accountable for filled bottle reconciliation and destruction of anesthetic waste bottles as per approved procedures. The role contributes to safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations while maintaining high standards of quality, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Perform filling and packing activities as per approved BFR, BPR, and SOP requirements.
  • Adhere to and maintain current GMP standards in all production activities and areas.
  • Execute production activities according to the approved daily production schedule.
  • Receive and follow shift instructions from the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Stop operations immediately in case of any abnormality and report the issue to the Production Manager.
  • Maintain manufacturing records in electronic systems and ensure compliance with data integrity requirements.
  • Verify raw materials and packing materials at the time of receipt and before use.
  • Raise sample requests and submit samples to Quality Control (QC) after completion of filling activities.
  • Transfer finished goods to Stores through the approved Finished Goods Transfer Note (FGTN) process.
  • Carry out cleaning of filters and storage tanks as per the approved schedule.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in production areas in accordance with SOPs.
  • Ensure cleaning and maintenance of AHU filters as per the approved schedule.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of consumables, logbooks, and status labels.
  • Coordinate and ensure preventive maintenance of production equipment as per the maintenance schedule.
  • Monitor and maintain temperature and relative humidity (RH) within specified SOP limits.
  • Coordinate with QA, QC, Stores, Engineering & Maintenance (E&M), and Supply Chain Management (SCM) departments for production-related activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform responsibilities of senior personnel during their absence or when authorized.
  • Raise indents, obtain issuance, and ensure submission of BFRs and BPRs.
  • Raise indents for raw and packing materials and ensure timely receipt as per production requirements.
  • Perform SAP transactions and postings related to production activities as per BFR and BPR requirements.
  • Allocate packed batches for dispatch based on approved sales orders.
  • Responsible and accountable for filled bottle reconciliation and destruction of anesthetic waste bottles in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring complete documentation and traceability.
