Introduction

We are looking for an HSE Officer / Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the company's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).

This position is mainly located at Ahmedabad.

Team you will belong to

You will join the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Team, which is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Contractors, Employees, Government Authorities, and External Agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

What You'll Do


  • Assist the HSE Head in implementing and administering the organization's HSE goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular plant safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
  • Report safety observations, communicate corrective actions to concerned stakeholders, and ensure timely closure.
  • Track and monitor unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and safety conversations through the Feedback Portal.
  • Deliver HSE training programs and organize safety awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
  • Support implementation and auditing of Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout Tagout (LOTO), and Confined Space Entry procedures.
  • Assist in implementing emergency response plans and organizing mock drills for continual improvement.
  • Conduct emergency response, fire safety, and evacuation drills for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and retain HSE documentation, records, and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate testing, inspection, and certification of pressure vessels, pressure plants, lifting tools, and lifting tackles.
  • Implement and monitor contractor HSE requirements and compliance.
  • Coordinate EHS Committee meetings and drive action planning and closure.
  • Ensure availability and adequacy of safety signage in local language and First Aid facilities across the site.
  • Coordinate environmental sampling, monitoring, and analysis as per statutory requirements and GPCB permissions.
  • Manage solid and hazardous waste activities including collection, segregation, storage, labeling, transportation, and disposal through the XGN manifest system.
  • Ensure effective operation and monitoring of STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant).
  • Liaise with government authorities and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct inspection, testing, operation, and maintenance monitoring of fire detection and protection systems.
  • Deliver fire safety training and conduct fire mock drills to improve emergency preparedness.
  • Support ISO management systems and ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.


What You'll Bring


  • Post Diploma in Industrial Safety from a State Labour Institute.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in HSE operational activities within manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments.
  • Experience in environmental management, statutory compliance, emergency response, and fire safety systems.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Good understanding of Permit to Work, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Emergency Response, and Contractor Safety Management.
  • Good communicaiton & Interpersonal Skill
