This role sits within Strategy & Media Monetisation at Purplle. The team owns Purplle's media
and monetisation business — building commercial products that brands pay for, and building the
infrastructure to prove those products work.
About The Role
Purplle's off-platform monetisation business helps brands grow on Purplle by reaching its beauty
audience outside the app — through managed influencer programs, performance campaigns,
sampling, and newer models actively being developed. The portfolio is expanding.
This role owns the off-platform monetisation business end-to-end: the product portfolio, the GTM
strategy, the revenue number, and the team that delivers it.
You will identify new off-platform marketing levers, write the business requirements to get them
built, design how they're packaged and priced, and sell them. You will manage a team of
influencer managers who own delivery. You will hold the brand relationship from first
conversation through deal closure, campaign delivery, and renewal.
This is not a campaign execution role. It is a commercial and product strategy role with full P&L
accountability.
What You Will Do
Portfolio Strategy and GTM
- Own the GTM strategy for the entire off-platform monetisation portfolio — how products
- Identify gaps in the off-platform marketing stack and build the commercial case for new
- Write business requirements for new monetisation products and work with the product
- Design the launch strategy for new products — brand targeting, pricing rationale, pitch
- Track portfolio performance and recommend adjustments to product mix, pricing, and
Commercial Ownership
- Own the revenue target for off-platform brand growth programs
- Build and manage an active brand pipeline — proactive and outbound, not
- Lead brand conversations from prospecting through negotiation, contract closure, and
- Drive renewals and upsells at every post-campaign readout
- Design brand growth programs combining influencer marketing, performance
strategy, and budget
- Define measurement approach and commit to outcome ranges at deal closure
- Coordinate program execution across your team and internal functions
- Deliver post-campaign readouts with actual vs committed outcome comparisons
- Identify whitespace in Purplle's off-platform monetisation stack through brand
- Size the commercial opportunity and build the internal business case
- Write detailed business requirements for product and tech — what needs to be built,
- Own the GTM when the product is ready to sell
- Lead and manage a team of influencer managers
- Set campaign briefs, quality standards, and delivery expectations
- Own hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the team
- Work with KAMs on brand relationships, pipeline, and onboarding dependencies
- Brief marketing and product on program requirements and timelines
- Partner with analytics for measurement design and post-campaign reporting
- Coordinate with in-app media team to ensure off-platform and on-platform surfaces are
External Stakeholder Management
- Own the relationship with brand KAMs, category managers, and where relevant, brand
- Navigate brand-side budget approvals and internal dependencies
- Present program proposals and post-campaign readouts to senior brand stakeholders
Experience
- 3 to 5 years across digital marketing, influencer marketing, demand generation, media
- Has carried a revenue or pipeline number with end-to-end ownership — not execution
- Has managed a team with accountability for output quality and performance
- Has worked in environments requiring cross-functional alignment without direct authority
- Prior exposure to product development or GTM for new commercial products is a strong
Skills and Knowledge
- Deep working knowledge of influencer marketing — creator selection, briefing,
- Solid understanding of performance marketing (Meta, Google) and attribution
- Can write a business requirement that a product team can act on
- Can build a commercial proposal and present it to a brand marketing or category team
- Comfortable with platform and campaign data
- Clear written and verbal communication across internal and brand-facing contexts
- Experience on a marketplace, platform, or media business
- Exposure to D2C or FMCG brand teams — understands how brand budgets move and
- Has GTM'd a new commercial product, not just sold an existing one
- Has built a pipeline proactively rather than managed inbound
