Join our team as a Virtual Medical Scribe. In this role, you will assist US-based physicians in real-time or near real-time, document patient encounters, enter patient history, and update Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen to real-time clinical encounters or audio recordings
- Accurately document clinical evaluations, diagnoses, prescriptions, and follow-up plans
- Navigate and update electronic charts during patient visits
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA security standards for patient health information
- Verify documentation with the physician before final signing
- Participate in continuous specialty training to stay updated on clinical standards
- Excellent listening skills and fluent verbal and written English (to understand physician-patient interactions)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Proficiency in navigation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) software
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM with excellent spelling and grammar
- Strong multitasking skills and cognitive ability to summarize clinical discussions
- Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field or equivalent healthcare experience
