Category Head - K12

We're Hiring: Category Head – K12 | Unacademy

At Unacademy, we're building one of India's largest and most impactful learning ecosystems for school students, and we're looking for a Category Head - K12 to lead and scale our business.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own the end-to-end K12 business, including category strategy, P&L, business growth, GTM, pricing, and cross-functional execution. We're looking for leaders who have successfully built and scaled large online B2C businesses. Prior EdTech experience is not mandatory.

What You'll Own

• Own the end-to-end K12 category P&L, including revenue, profitability, pricing, and growth.
• Define and execute business and go-to-market strategies.
• Drive acquisition, conversion, retention, monetization, and overall business performance.
• Identify new growth opportunities through market insights and customer understanding.
• Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Tech teams to drive business outcomes.
• Monitor key business metrics and leverage data to make strategic decisions.
• Present regular business reviews and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Who We're Looking For

• 6-10 years of experience in Category Management, Business Leadership, General Management, Growth, or P&L ownership roles.
• Proven experience managing an online B2C business with end-to-end category and P&L ownership.
• Strong understanding of business growth levers, including GTM, pricing, acquisition, retention, monetization, and profitability.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and execution skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Background

• Strong academic and professional pedigree.
• Experience owning end-to-end category management and P&L for a large online B2C business.
• Background in Consumer Internet, E-commerce, D2C, Marketplaces, FinTech, HealthTech, Quick Commerce, or similar consumer businesses.
• Experience working closely with CXOs or Founders in high-growth organizations.
