General Laborer / Apprentice

Position Overview

The General Laborer / Apprentice supports lead technicians and masons on chimney, fireplace, and masonry projects. This role is hands-on and physically active, offering the opportunity to learn valuable trade skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

You Will Gain Experience In

  • Chimney inspections and repairs
  • Masonry and brickwork
  • Outdoor hardscaping projects
  • Jobsite safety and professional customer interaction

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians and masons with repairs and installations
  • Carry and prepare materials
  • Mix mortar and prepare work areas
  • Set up and break down ladders and scaffolding
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Follow safety procedures at all times
  • Learn proper tools, materials, and repair techniques
  • Support documentation and photo reporting as needed

As Skills Develop, Opportunities For Advancement Include

  • Running small repair jobs
  • Performing basic masonry repairs
  • Assisting with customer communication
  • Growing into a Technician or Mason role

Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather
  • Comfortable working on ladders and roofs
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Positive attitude and team mindset

Construction, roofing, landscaping, or masonry experience is a plus—but not required.
