Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Australian Accounting & Taxation Professionals to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Australian accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires strong technical knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and cloud accounting software, along with the ability to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

Australian Accounting

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for Australian clients.
• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Record journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and month-end adjustments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Finalization of Accounts

• Prepare and finalize financial statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Sole Traders.
• Review financial records and ensure accuracy before finalization.
• Support year-end closing activities and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and reporting requirements.

Australian Taxation

• Prepare and review Australian Income Tax Returns for various entity types.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure GST compliance.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance activities.
• Keep up to date with Australian taxation laws, ATO regulations, and legislative changes.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare management reports and financial statements for clients.
• Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and taxation regulations.
• Maintain accurate working papers and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of client deliverables.

Client Management

• Communicate professionally with Australian clients through email and virtual meetings.
• Respond to client queries and provide accounting and taxation support.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service delivery.
• Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting and Taxation.
• Experience in Finalization of Accounts and Financial Statements.
• Australian Income Tax Return Preparation.
• BAS Preparation and GST Compliance.
• Financial Reporting and Management Accounts.
• Bank Reconciliations and Bookkeeping.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Software Knowledge

• Xero
• MYOB
• QuickBooks
• Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA, CPA, Inter CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Australian Accounting & Taxation.
• Experience working with Australian Accounting Firms, CPA Practices, or outsourced accounting service providers is highly preferred.
• Practical exposure to Australian compliance, financial reporting, BAS, GST, and tax return preparation is essential.
