Plan and coordinate installation of propulsion systems, piping systems, auxiliary machinery, HVAC, steering gear, pumps, compressors, and other marine equipment.
Ensure all machinery works are executed as per approved drawings, maker’s manuals, class rules, statutory regulations, and shipyard quality standards.
Coordinate with design, planning, electrical, hull, quality assurance, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth integration and timely completion of activities.
Monitor production and commissioning progress, identify technical issues or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to achieve milestone targets.
Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including flushing, pressure testing, alignment checks, calibration, machinery trials, and system functional tests.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, work permits, risk assessments, and environmental regulations during machinery installation and testing activities.
Manage manpower, subcontractors, tools, and material resources effectively to maximize productivity and minimize delays or rework.
Prepare and review progress reports, commissioning records, test reports, punch point status, and documentation required for management, owners, and classification societies.
Lead client, owner, and class inspections, harbour trials, and sea trials, ensuring successful commissioning and delivery of vessel machinery systems.
