Job Opening: Central Procurement BuyerAbout the Role

Proactive and result-oriented Central Procurement Buyer to join our Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring timely sourcing and procurement of materials/services while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance. The role requires close collaboration with project teams, technical experts, operations, vendors, and other key stakeholders to support business objectives and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Project Teams, Technical Departments, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and priorities.
  • Conduct market research and market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, supplier capabilities, and industry trends.
  • Perform price analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and cost-effective procurement decisions.
  • Evaluate, shortlist, and select vendors based on technical, commercial, quality, and delivery performance criteria.
  • Manage RFQs, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and procurement finalization within defined timelines.
  • Ensure timely placement of purchase orders and procurement closure to meet project schedules.
  • Monitor supplier deliverables and follow up on commitments to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the procurement cycle.
  • Obtain and analyze feedback from project teams and vendors to improve procurement effectiveness and supplier performance.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency, transparency, and value creation.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Support supplier performance reviews and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or project procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management, commercial evaluation, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a dynamic project-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/Procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.
