Industry Consultant – Chemical
As an Industry Consultant – Chemical, you will drive business growth and strategic engagement within the Chemical industry segment by developing long-term relationships with end users, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, technology partners, and key ecosystem stakeholders. You will work closely with Sales, Business Units, Industry Leaders, and Global teams to develop and execute industry growth plans, identify new opportunities, and deliver business outcomes through industry expertise and consultative engagement.
You will report to the Industry Leader and work in a hybrid schedule from India.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual Chemical industry business plans, including short-term and long-term growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Drive industry-focused go-to-market strategies, identify portfolio and solution gaps, and collaborate with regional and global teams to accelerate growth.
- Build executive-level relationships and lead business outcome discussions with C-level stakeholders by leveraging deep industry and domain expertise.
- Develop and manage sales funnel opportunities for both core automation and transformational digital solutions, supporting opportunity progression and closure.
- Lead engagement with ecosystem partners, promote industry best practices, support coordinated sales pursuits, and provide strategic guidance to account management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial automation, digital transformation, process industries, or related industrial technology environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing industry growth strategies and business plans for complex industrial environments.
- Ability to travel up to 30–40% of the time, as required for customer and industry engagements.
- Deep Chemical industry domain expertise gained through industry, consulting, sales, marketing, or business development roles.
- Experience selling or positioning complex automation, digitalization, software, and industrial transformation solutions.
- Proven ability to drive large, complex, long-cycle pursuits and influence internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience working in a matrixed global organization and collaborating across Sales, Marketing, Business Units, and industry teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze customer businesses, identify opportunities, and create growth strategies.
- Knowledge of Chemical industry regulations, compliance requirements, market trends, and operational best practices.
