Purpose of the job- Assists Head Security in protection of Godrej businesses property, personnel, material and information. Implement security policies, processes and protocols to protect the organization, physical & intellectual assets and to prevent losses.

Qualification: Graduation, Prior experience of handling corporate building security shall be preferred.

Experience: 5 to 7 years

Key Responsibility

  • Command & Control of Security Operations
  • Overall in-charge of security operations during the assigned shift, including guards, supervisors, CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and patrol teams across the campus
  • Ensure optimum deployment of security manpower and coverage across locations
  • Regulate and control security operations through a single-line command from the Security Operations Centre
  • Incident & Emergency Management
  • Act as the first responder for incidents such as theft, fire alarms, medical emergencies, intrusions, protests, or suspicious activities
  • Stabilize situations, take immediate corrective actions, escalate appropriately, and ensure safety of people and assets
  • Coordinate firefighting, evacuation, crowd control, and other emergency responses in collaboration with Facilities, EHS, Admin, HR, and fire teams
  • Report and investigate thefts, pilferages, and incidents; liaise with police authorities when required and maintain records of police cases
  • Access Control & Perimeter Security
  • Ensure that only authorized personnel, vehicles, and materials enter or exit the premises
  • Manage gates, visitor management systems, vendor movement, material movement, night security, parking, and traffic management
  • Maintain discipline at the property and create a strong security interface
  • CCTV, Surveillance & Security Technology
  • Live monitoring of CCTV systems and surveillance infrastructure for incident detection and prevention
  • Preserve recordings, maintain evidence, and coordinate with ground teams during incidents
  • Responsible for upkeep, maintenance, and continuous upgradation of security equipment and gadgets
  • Apply knowledge of security automation, audits, and surveillance tools to identify abnormal patterns and risks
  • SOPs, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all security procedures and SOPs are implemented as per laid-down policies
  • Enforce compliance with fire safety rules, ID badge protocols, night movement guidelines, parking norms, and statutory regulations
  • Assist in continuous risk assessment and implementation of mitigation measures
  • Identify gaps in security systems and drive closure through manpower, infrastructure, and process improvements with due approvals
  • Reporting, Documentation & Shift Handover
  • Prepare and maintain daily shift logs, incident reports, patrol records, guard attendance, and handover notes
  • Document observations, surveillance activities, and incidents accurately, including collection of evidence and witness information
  • Ensure clean and structured handover to the next shift
  • People Management & Training
  • Lead, deploy, discipline, and motivate large teams of security personnel (50–200+ guards across locations)
  • Responsible for training and readiness of all security personnel, including awareness of contingency plans
  • Ensure the right person is deployed at the right place for optimal utilization of human resources
  • Intelligence, Vigilance & External Liaison
  • Develop intelligence and vigilance mechanisms for information gathering
  • Establish and maintain relationships with government and intelligence agencies
  • Support investigations and vigilance activities as required
  • Administrative & Other Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative functions pertaining to security operations
  • Maintain organizational stability and reputation by complying with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Be ready to work in shifts and handle additional responsibilities assigned by management

Critical Skills

  • Qualification: Graduation (prior experience in handling corporate building security preferred)
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in corporate/ industrial security operations
  • Strong command and people management capability
  • Excellent incident handling and emergency response skills
  • Awareness of security automation, CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
  • Good spoken and written communication; clear escalation and crisis communication
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations, investigations, and security audits
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and evidence-handling skills
  • High alertness, physical and mental readiness to operate in high-stress and night-shift environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across levels and functions
