The Sr. Procurement Manager will support the Procurement team by independently managing sourcing and contracting activities while driving procurement reporting, analytics, and operational excellence. This role will partner with business stakeholders, Legal, Information Security, and Finance to facilitate timely contract execution, maintain procurement governance, and provide meaningful reporting for leadership.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sourcing & Contract Management (60%)
- Leads the day-to-day operations of the Procurement function, providing operational oversight, guidance, and mentorship to Procurement team members to ensure consistent execution, quality, and adherence to procurement standards.
- Independently manage procurement engagements from intake through contract execution.
- Lead negotiations for standard commercial & legal terms using approved templates and playbooks.
- Coordinate reviews with Legal, Information Security, Risk, Finance, and business stakeholders.
- Support supplier onboarding and due diligence activities.
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, change orders, and standard Statements of Work.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and governance requirements.
- Escalate complex commercial, legal, or business risks to senior procurement team members.
- Maintain the Procurement Engagement Tracker and contract pipeline for weekly and monthly reporting to the leadership.
- Track procurement KPIs including:
- Procurement cycle time
- Contracts completed
- Upcoming renewals
- Procurement savings and cost avoidance
- Vendor onboarding metrics
- Maintain procurement documentation, templates, and reporting repositories.
- Provide guidance to business stakeholders on procurement policies and contracting processes.
- Coordinate communications with suppliers throughout the sourcing and contracting lifecycle.
- Support sourcing events, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs as required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes through automation and standardization.
- Assist in developing procurement user guides, templates, and best practices.
- Support implementation and ongoing optimization of procurement systems and contract management tools.
- 8-10 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, or Contract Administration.
- Experience negotiating IT (SaaS, AI, cloud, Hardware, Telecom) & operations supplier agreements.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, dashboards, reporting, data analysis).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with contract lifecycle management (CLM), ERP, or procurement platforms (e.g., GEP, Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua) is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
