Infra Architect with 8 to 10 years of experience will design implement and optimize secure and scalable device management solutions for enterprise environments using Intune and Mac desktop management. Role focuses on automotive industry workplaces providing robust endpoint strategies standards and governance for office based teams in a day shift work from office model.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise wide device management architectures using Intune and Mac desktop management solutions focusing on stability security and scalability
- Develop detailed configuration baselines and policies for Windows devices and Mac desktops that ensure consistent user experience and compliance across the automotive organization
- Implement secure enrollment processes for corporate and employee devices ensuring that endpoint onboarding is efficient traceable and aligned with organizational standards
- Coordinate with infrastructure and application teams to integrate device management platforms with identity management patching tools and endpoint security controls
- Monitor device posture dashboards and reports to identify configuration drifts security risks and policy violations then drive timely remediation actions
- Optimize Intune and Mac management configurations to reduce incidents improve system performance and enhance reliability for office based employees
- Collaborate with business stakeholders in the automotive domain to understand workplace requirements and translate them into practical device management roadmaps
- Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams standard operating procedures and runbooks that support operational excellence
- Conduct impact analysis for new operating system versions application updates and device models to ensure smooth rollout in the automotive enterprise environment
- Guide incident and problem investigations related to endpoint and desktop issues by performing deep technical analysis and recommending durable fixes
- Define and enforce standards for software packaging patch deployment and configuration management to minimize downtime and improve endpoint service quality
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation activities on managed devices by working closely with security teams ensuring that automotive safety and regulatory expectations are met
- Support audits and compliance checks by providing evidence of device configurations policies and controls aligned to industry best practices and company governance
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to align device lifecycle processes covering acquisition assignments reclaims and secure decommissioning of desktops and laptops
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing operational metrics and proposing enhancements to device management workflows and automation scripts
- Provide day shift support for critical infrastructure changes and planned maintenance windows ensuring minimal disruption to office based teams
- Advise project teams on device related dependencies and constraints when rolling out new digital initiatives or applications in the automotive workplace
- Mentor junior engineers in device management practices by sharing knowledge on troubleshooting techniques configuration strategies and platform capabilities
- Engage with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate new features in Intune and Mac management tools ensuring timely adoption of improvements that benefit the enterprise
- Possess a bachelor degree or equivalent experience in information technology computer science or a related discipline with a strong focus on infrastructure services
- Demonstrate between eight and ten years of hands on experience in enterprise infrastructure environments with emphasis on endpoint and desktop management
- Show deep expertise in Microsoft Intune including configuration profiles compliance policies application deployment and reporting for medium to large organizations
- Exhibit strong proficiency in Mac desktop management including packaging deployment inventory control and policy management using enterprise grade tools
- Bring proven experience working within the automotive industry including familiarity with engineering and office environments and their specific endpoint requirements
- Display solid understanding of networking concepts identity management and security controls as they relate to endpoint connectivity and access management
- Present excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with the capacity to resolve complex infrastructure issues under time constraints and operational pressure
- Communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders using structured documentation and presentations that support informed decision making
- Adapt quickly to new tools and technologies within the device management ecosystem while maintaining focus on reliability and user productivity
Microsoft Certified Endpoint Administrator or Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent device management certification
