Purpose of the Role - To implement environmental processes & policies at site, as well as manage the Environment Management System (EMS), with the objective to mitigate risk and achieve sustainable operations as per overall RIL Group's environmental regulations & standards

Responsibilities -
- Policies, Processes and Procedures -
- Conduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures
- Operations -
- Monitor the environmental parameters at site for air emissions, water discharges, noise levels, solid/ hazardous waste etc., as per requirements of SPCB, as well as report deviations and plan corrective actions
- Perform regular inspection, testing, maintenance and performance evaluation of Pollution Control Equipment and track/ record the findings for future references
- Prepare reports on leading and lagging environment metrics at a site, and support in implementation of action plans , if any
- Support in conducting external compliance audits and liaise with government authorities to facilitate investigations on environmental issues and implement suggested actions if any
- Review the achievement of objectives and targets set under Environment Management System (EMS), while regularly maintaining and improving the system
- Capability Building and Communication -
- Prepare and submit monthly/ half yearly documents to regulatory authorities for consent & authorization from pollution control board (PCB), water cess returns, compliance reports, audit reports wherever applicable
- Prepare documents for renewal of consents (CCA), consent to establish (CTE), authorizations, etc.and coordinate with SPCB officials during site inspections for routine monitoring, renewal/ grant of consents or authorizations
- Conduct environmental sustainability initiatives and awareness training to drive environmental excellence at a site
Education Requirement :
Necessary: - Bachelors/ Masters of Engineering/ Technology in Environment/ HSE Specialization or allied field
- Certified ISO-14001 auditor
- Necessary: - 3-7 years of experience with exposure in the field Environmental Management, Policy and strategy preferably in chemical/ petrochemical or allied industry
- Knowledge of Environmental Legislations and Environmental Management Systems
- Hands on experience on computer skills
- Verbal and written communication skill
- Team player
