Job Responsibilities :

Purpose of the Role - To oversee and ensure smooth functioning of all the minor projects at the plant and at site right from conceptualization to the commissioning, while ensuring adherence to the regulatory and quality norms of RIL.

Responsibilities -

MPC Planning and Strategy -

  • Provide inputs in creating MPC'sbusiness strategy & create a roadmap to ensure adherence to overall objectives, goals
  • Oversee end to end execution / implementation of business plans
  • Establish clear project Key Performance Indicators to measure success and progress made and provide regular updates to the management team
  • Implement cost-saving measures and optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify new initiatives/ projects and set operational plans that meet these future demands
  • Participate in MPC's budgeting cycle & process and provide inputs on budget allocation for own sub-function/ team
  • Oversee deployment of own budget and ensure efficient utilization and minimum variance in target v/s actual


Policies, Processes and Procedures -

Project Management -

  • Lead and ensure timely execution of all minor projects
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates for projects using available formulas/historical data and work closely with finance and other relevant departments to manage project budgets
  • Create stakeholder responsibility matrix, establish construction phase requirements, develop contractor#s construction schedule, quality control plan, resource management plan, risk management plan and HSE management plan
  • Responsible for planning and controlling material flow including material procurement, supplier evaluation and selection, releasing material / Service PRs, service entries, material warehousing & preservation,materials distribution,& material inspection
  • Monitor project performance through regular status meetings and progress reports, identify potential delays, and take corrective actions to ensure on timly & within budget commissioning of the projects.
  • Coordination with Detail Engineering agency, procurement and contracts


Engineering & Health, Environment, Safety Compliance -

  • Drive ownership for HSE compliance (RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF Mandatory trainings), to enable safe working culture.
  • Oversee adherence to all activities related to Health,Safety,Environment (HSE) and Quality Management System and RIL's quality systems are being followed for all pipeline projects.
  • Monitor engineering activities at regular basis; ensure compliance with to stipulated polices, procedure; timely implement corrective actions to mitigate potential risk and ensure completion of engineering activities as per established schedule, cost and quality norms.
  • Coordinate with inspection teams for in-process inspections and periodic reviews, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Oversee compliance to statutory permissions, approvals and clearances at all times across the project lifecycle.


People Management -

  • Instill a culture of continuous development and high performance within own team
  • Participate in recruitment activities & ensure retention / engagement of own team
  • Set performance objectives of own team, evaluate / appraise team members and provide regular feedback & guidance
  • Guide, mentor and develop own team to take larger and complex responsibilities
  • Evaluate training and development requirements for own team and make recommendations for learning interventions


Education Requirement :

Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical)

Experience Requirement :

Necessary: 12+ years of experience in maintenance/ project management, of which 3 years as a site discipline head in project management or 7 years as a Plant discipline head
