Job Title: Deputy Manager - Purchase
Job Mission
The Deputy manager purchase is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process of goods and services to ensure timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and quality compliance. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, processing purchase orders, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support the company’s operational needs and strategic objectives, works closely with internal departments to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and contribute to overall supply chain efficiency.
Job Description / Mission
- Ensure planning and procurement of Direct materials, timely release of Purchase orders and conduct materials follow-up to align with the production plan
- Ensuring that planning data on the ERP system is accurate, continuously reviewed and adapted to current scenarios
- Make sure safety stocks are maintained at appropriate level, not exceeding the divisional inventory limit/targets
- Quarterly review and adjust the safety stock level with respect to forecast/demand.
- Responsible for ongoing management of purchasing strategy and activity and ensuring optimal supplier performance
- Manage the MRP module of the ERP System, maintaining periodic forecasts and using its tools to manage material deliveries
- Govern processes to improve planning parameters and replenishment strategies
- Manage changing scenarios like seasonality, forecast changes, supply chain disruptions and deploy the necessary changes
- Ensure that Cycle count is conducted every week, analysis is carried out for stock discrepancy and system adjustment in line with the Procura policy
- Efficiently follow escalation route within the organization
- Take proactive measures to prevent/reduce material shortages
- Create returns, requisitions for delivery notes and credit notes
- Ensure timely supplier payments
- Have strict control on the "internal control" parameters
- Focus on optimal logistic costs

- IMS Audit
- 10-15 years in Planning & Procurement in a Global Organisation
- Structured and process knowledge
- Negotiation skills & business knowledge
- Sound knowledge of ERP systems and an advance competence of MS –Office application – Excel & Power BI
- Good Knowledge of Commercial Terms & understanding of supply chain management and inventory management
- Goal oriented
